by My Shop!

This pictorial account is about my personal travels in Australia and New Zealand. Overall, I have travelled to about eighty two countries, territories and colonies around the world. I have lived and practiced in about fifteen countries as a pharmacist, clinical pharmacologist, lecturer and volunteer kindergarten English teacher. I am still traveling to learn more about places, peoples and different cultures.

The purpose of this pictorial journal is to share my travel experiences with the general public in the hope that it will inspire others with similar aspiration to work towards this objective. I caution that traveling is tiring and expensive but, rewarding in terms of broadening perspectives and knowledge base.

This book is two hundred and seventy pages of over five hundred personally-taken pictures from travels across Australia and New Zealand.

I arrived in Christchurch from Brisbane, Australia to commence my journey through New Zealand. Christchurch is the largest city in South Island. Then, l embarked on a scenic train ride of five and half hours to Picton to experience the awe-inspiring landscapes of this beautiful country. Limitless sceneries abound throughout this epic adventure. The captivating pictures of the landscapes recorded are among the very best of topographic magnificence anywhere in the world. l continued towards the North Island on a three and half hour Picton-Wellington ferry line to experience the beauty of the world famous Marlborough Sounds; as well as the contrasts between the landscapes in the two islands. The ruggedness of the coastline affirmed the wild and untamed nature of the islands.

The capital Wellington is centrally-located between the North & South Islands. It is hilly offering wide-angle views of the surrounding areas. Attractions in Wellington include but not limited to the Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa, Civic Square, City Gallery, Museum of Wellington City & Sea, Wellington Cable Car, Botanical Garden, Parliament Buildings, National Archives, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Carter Observatory.

My travels in Australia started in Brisbane Queensland. I then traveled on a five-hour flight to Perth, Western Australia; crossing from the East coast of this magnificent country to the West coast. A four hour bus ride took me to the Shires of Kojonup and Katanning; deep into the heart of the farming community of Western Australia. Continuing further in the deep South of Western Australia, l explored the Shires of Broomehill-Tambellup, Crambrook - the gateway to the Stirlings; all the way to the coastal city of Albany. A return to the East coast led me to the recreational & beautiful Goldcoast city of Queensland. I concluded my trip to Australia venturing into Sydney, New South Wales, South of Queensland.
