This pictorial account is about my personal travels in the Scandinavia specifically in Sweden and Norway. Overall, I have travelled to about eighty two countries, territories and colonies around the world. I have lived and practiced in about fifteen countries as a pharmacist, clinical pharmacologist, lecturer and volunteer kindergarten English teacher. I am still traveling to learn more about places, peoples and different cultures.

The purpose of this pictorial journal is to share my travel experiences with the general public in the hope that it will inspire others with similar aspiration to work towards this objective. I caution that traveling is tiring and expensive but, rewarding in terms of broadening perspectives and knowledge base.

My travels in the Scandinavia cover Sweden and Norway. The Scandinavia is a part of Northern Europe with common ties between the peoples of the area with respect to language, history and culture. The countries of the Scandinavia are Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The topography of Scandinavia is varied and widely different. The distinctions are recognized in the Scandinavian alps, the fjords of Norway, the flat terrains of Denmark and the numerous archipelagos of Norway & Sweden. The climate is different from North to South and from West to East. The Scandinavian mountains cover predominantly Norway and some parts of Sweden. The countries of Scandinavia and their Nordic neighbors are among the richest economies in Europe and the world. More significantly is the sophistication of their economies, accountability to their peoples and characteristic good governance. It is important to note that the cost of living in the Scandinavia is very high. As such, traveling to this subregion of Northern Europe is expensive. However, it is worth the cost because the countries are advanced , organized and sophisticated. Adding to the value is the eye-catching beauty of the Scandinavian mountains notably in the Northern part of Norway.

This book is basic introduction to the Scandinavia and its connection to the Nordic region of Europe.
